Although relatively new to the hobby, Blake demonstrates remarkable creativity, especially in crafting intricate scenery and diorama bases. They often push traditional boundaries and challenge conventional norms, creating unique and imaginative pieces that truly engage viewers and spark their interest.

Harry Fitzgerald

Artist

Harry is a highly valued and talented artist at The Distant Veil, bringing with him over two decades of rich experience and expertise to the studio team. His journey in the miniature painting hobby began back in 2002 with the pages of the iconic Battle Games in Middle Earth, which kindled his passion for this artistic endeavor. However, life circumstances led him away from his beloved hobby for several years, creating a significant gap in his engagement with the craft. Fortunately, in 2019, he returned to the fold with renewed enthusiasm and determination, quickly amassing an impressive and diverse collection of miniatures that showcased his skill. Renowned for his bold and fearless use of vibrant, heavily saturated colours, Harry excels at pushing contrasting colour combinations to their absolute limits, creating striking and dynamic pieces that truly captivate the eye of any viewer. His extraordinary creativity and unique flair make him a key contributor to the studio's ongoing mission of expanding the vibrant hobby scene in New Zealand and inspiring others to engage in this intricate art form.
